Threshold

Foundry

The Foundry is where raw ideas undergo transmutation.
Sketches, scraps, experiments, and half‑formed visions gather here in the furnace of creation — the place where the feral and the precise collide.
This is the working heart of the lair, where nothing is finished but everything is becoming.

The Repository

The Repository holds completed transmutations — artifacts drawn from the heat of the Foundry and sealed into their final forms.
Here the experiments have settled, the symbols have aligned, and the work stands as finished relic.
This is the quiet chamber where creation becomes artifact.

The Outer Grounds

Beyond the walls of the lair, the Outer Grounds stretch into the high desert — a xeriscaped threshold held in the shadow of La Mesita and carved by the Rio Grande Gorge.
Here the bosque of Arroyo Jacinto gathers close, thick with wild plums, black walnuts, apples, and the quiet movement of wildlife.
This is the living perimeter of the Lab, where the land itself becomes reagent, refuge, and companion.

"La Emboscada is a lair.

A hidden perimeter.

A place where the feral artist thinks, stalks, builds, dismantles, dreams, and ambushes the world with work that refuses to be domesticated.

This is where the raw material lives — the dream logs, the mythic modules, the field manuals, the privacy rituals, the creative teeth.

This is where the systems are studied, the patterns decoded, the traps disarmed, the sagas documented.

This is where the artist operates without apology, without leash, without the softening filters of “should” and “normal.”

Inside the lair, creation is not a hobby.

It is a survival instinct.

A strategy.

A way of mapping the world and refusing to be mapped in return.

La Emboscada is for the ones who build their own rituals, who archive their own mythologies, who navigate modern systems with cunning instead of compliance.

It is for the ones who know that art is not decoration — it is a weapon, a compass, a mirror, a warning.

If you’ve found your way here, follow the tracks deeper.

The lair is alive.

And it grows with every artifact left behind."
